1. HOW TO PLAY
This is a points style format, with league play only. You must only
finish in the top 4 teams in your league to win.
Every team is assigned to a (12) team satellite league, where you are
randomly assigned a draft position, upon sign up. You then draft your
own team, via a live online draft.
Every week, teams accumulate points from all players on their roster,
and your most optimum scoring starting lineup is used to compute your
final score for the week. That is, your best possible scores from each
position are used for your weekly score.
Your season lasts 16 weeks, (NFL Weeks 1-16). At the end of Week 16, the
top (4) scoring teams in the league are the winners and each receive a
Free 2008 entry into the main Fantasy Jungle contest. The top scoring
teams are the top (4) teams that have the highest cumulative season to
date point totals from Weeks 1-16.

2. THE DRAFT
The draft takes place online through the Fantasy Jungle site. Each
league is comprised of (12) teams, and is filled on a first come, first
serve basis. Draft positions are randomly assigned upon signup.
The draft will consist of (26) rounds and will be conducted in
serpentine fashion, meaning the team with the first pick in the first
round will have the last pick in the second round, and then the first
pick in the third round, etc…You should expect the draft to last
anywhere between 2-4 hours.
Owners need to be logged in and in the draft room (15) minutes prior to
the start of the draft.
Each player will have (1:30) minutes to make their selection once they are
on the clock. If a player fails to make a selection within the allotted
time period, AN AUTO PICK will be made for them based on the highest
rated overall player per the FJ Rankings.
After completion of the draft, all teams and rosters will be uploaded to
your league page and made available for viewing.

3. ROSTER / LINEUP SUBMISSION
Team rosters are comprised of (26) players. There are no weekly lineup
deadlines as this is a “best player” format. Each week, the computer
will take your highest scoring lineup from your team, and that
determines your weekly score. For example, if you carry (4) QB’s on your
roster, the highest scoring QB each week will be deemed your QB. This
occurs for every position. You just simply draft your team, then sit
back and watch.
There are no free agent bidding periods. Your roster is final at the
conclusion of the draft.
There is no weekly lineup submission, the computer takes your highest
possible scoring team.
Your starting lineup will consist of:
(1) QUARTERBACK
(2) RUNNING BACKS
(3) WIDE RECEIVERS
(1) TIGHT END
(1) KICKER
(1) DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS UNIT
(1) UTILITY PLAYER (Will be the highest scoring player remaining from
your roster of QB’s, RB’s, WR’s, and TE’s.)

4. THE SCORING SYSTEM
Your team’s score each week will be based on the following categories:
RUSH, PASS, RECEIVING
Passing TD 0-39 yards = 3 pts.
Passing TD 40 yards or more = 6 pts.
Rushing TD 0-39 yards = 6 pts.
Rushing TD 40 yards or more = 9 pts.
Receiving TD 0-39 yards = 6 pts.
Receiving TD 40 yards or more = 9 pts.
Passing, Rushing, or Receiving 2 pt. Conversion = 2 pts.
Receptions = 1 pt.
Interceptions Thrown = (-1) pt.
Fumbles Lost = (-1) pt.
YARDAGE
Yards Passing Divided by 20 = 1 pt.
Yards Rushing and Receiving divided by 10 = 1 pt.
***Team Scoring will be carried out to the hundredth
KICKING
Extra point = 1 pt.
FG= 3 pts. + 0.1 point for every additional yard over 30 yards.
(Example: 47 yd FG= 4.7 points)
DEFENSIVE/SPECIAL TEAMS: (consists of defensive formations, punt and
kickoff return teams)
Sack = 1 pt.
Fumble Recovery = 2 pts.
Interception = 2 pts.
Safety = 2 pts.
Shutout = 15 pts.
2-10 pts. Allowed = 10 pts.
11-17 points allowed = 5 pts.
** All points scored against any unit of the team count as points
against the Defense/Special Teams. So a touchdown scored on an
interception return is still counted against the Defense/Special Teams.
Defensive or Special Teams TD:
0-39 yards = 6 pts.
40 yards or more = 9 pts.
In addition, Individual players WILL receive points for all Special
Teams touchdowns, but not yardage. Example: Troy Brown will receive 9
points for a punt or kickoff return of 56 yards for a TD, as well as New
England’s D/ST. However, Troy Brown does not receive points for the
return yardage. Fake Field Goals or punts do not count as Defensive/
Special Teams scores as they are considered offensive plays, and
individual points are issued for those plays.
